Dr. James C. Burden was raised in Shrewsbury, NJ. He completed his undergraduate education at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA where he graduated with honors. Dr. Burden became interested in the concept of Portable Dentistry while training at Temple University School of Dentistry. This interest led Dr. Burden to pursue a hospital-based general practice residency at Virtua-West Jersey Hospital in Camden, NJ. He currently serves as a volunteer attending physician at Monmouth Medical Center and is an active member in the Jersey Coast Dental Forum. Dr. Burden's knowledge of Portable Dentistry is aided by hundreds of hours of continuing dental education on many aspects of general and special needs dentistry. Dr. Burden is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and received the honor of Fellowship in 2007. This honor is held by less than 7% of dentists.
